Work 1
A Fusion of Romanian Fota and Japanese Kimono
This work combines the traditional Romanian garment Fota with Japanese kimono.
As a kimono dresser, I believe that traditional garments embody the culture, history, and a sense of respect embedded within them.
Although they originate from different countries, I discovered many similarities between Romanian folk costumes and Japanese kimono—such as meaningful patterns, handcrafted details, and the custom of wearing them with care on special occasions.
Focusing on these shared elements, I created a piece that brings together Romanian traditional dress and Japanese kimono.
As a platform to present this work, I held a collaborative fashion show in Bucharest, Romania, on October 13, 2025, showcasing the fusion of traditional attire from both countries.
This work expresses the beauty of respecting different cultures while honoring one’s own, making it a deeply meaningful project.

Work 1
Where Cultures Meet — Furisode and Ie
I believe that clothing embodies the history and respect of each culture.
This work combines Japan’s furisode with Romania’s ie and traditional elements.
By allowing garments from different cultures to coexist within a single space, it captures the moment when cultures meet, engage in dialogue, and lead to deeper understanding.
Clothing has the power to connect people beyond language.
When garments from different cultures come together, they open the door to understanding each other’s backgrounds and values.
By featuring younger-generation models, this work also expresses the potential for cultural traditions to be carried into the future, as well as a sense of connection that transcends borders.
I hope this piece inspires greater interest in and respect for diverse cultures.

Work 1
Remade Kimono Worn in Ginza
This piece incorporates a remade kimono coat created by remade kimono artist Haru, bringing it into everyday life.
The material used is Oshima Tsumugi, one of the world’s three great textiles.
In this styling, I propose a way to enjoy kimono—traditionally worn on limited occasions—as part of everyday fashion.
By casually styling items made from high-quality silk kimono, the look blends naturally into the refined streets of Ginza while maintaining a sense of elegance.
Within a calm and sophisticated atmosphere, the coordination highlights the unique character that only remade pieces can offer.
The coat is also reversible, allowing the wearer to enjoy different expressions—both elegance and delicacy—depending on how it is styled.
This work expresses a new approach to styling, incorporating traditional materials into modern lifestyles and making kimono more accessible for everyday enjoyment.
